TWIP Notes III

Laura, my wife, just finished her first mini-triathlon on Sunday. She swam, biked and ran in Baxter, MN with our good friends Ben and Jenny. I watched.

I am proud of her. It has always been a dream of hers to do things like this. It is worthy to take note when someone begins to accomplish a dream. Too often dreams lack the occasion, metal and gumption to become reality. So to take note of this dream I took pictures.

This Week In Pictures third edition is pretty self explanatory. I would include captions if I could figure out how. I once knew how but have since forgotten. The pictures progress in chronological order from pre-race to post-race and include me, Laura, Ben and Jenny (mostly Laura of course).

Good job crazy people!

Not sure how you post images on this blogger.com thing, but if you're using HTML, you can assign an "alt" tag to images. That way if you move the mouse over the image you get a caption/comment. In HTML it would look like: (inside the "<" and ">" thingies)
IMG SRC="blah.com/image.jpg" ALT="Ryan is the coolest. EVAR!"

Good luck.

Ahhh. Thanks Ryan. I may have to host my pictures somewhere and then insert them manually. Blogger has this 'insert picture' feature that doesn't give me access to the code...or maybe it does. I will check.

The code appears directly in your posting window after the upload. So if you upload a pic or multiple pics all the code will be there waiting for you, unless you're in preview mode. The easiest way to differentiate between pics in code view is by naming them specifically before you upload them. The only problem with Blogger's uploading service is that it doesn't keep them in the order you selected them to upload so cutting and pasting may be necessary.

brett - can you just recode blogger and start your own blog service to meet all these needs?

Anonymous, I suppose that it is possible, but I know that I am not able. Starting my own blog service is more than a little out of my coding league.
